Nah. Not his best film by far. Now, the first 2 hours were great, but it lost it's way in the last 30 min, then laughable in the final 10 min. There was laughter in the theater during those last events cause it was just so much and got a bit silly what was going on there.

*shrug* To each his own. It was by far the best new film I saw in 2006 (that including Little Miss Sunshine, which wasn't bad either, btw).

Ya, but I wish I knew about all of LMS Arkin's non stop F-Bombs before I took my nieces to see the film. I saw many good flicks that didn't make the nomination this year; boring year for films. My personal fav was the Illusionist.

IMHO the last 30 minutes was the difference between a good movie and a great movie.

All in all the awards were cool, but there were too many montage presentatons and while I like Ellen G., I have got to say she was not a great host/MC. My personal recentfaves in that dept., are Steve Martin and Jon stewart.

ITA with Don 100% in this matter.

I thought Ellen did an OK job.
But based on his short bit during the show, I think Seinfeld might be a good choice!
Really.

This guy would have been the best host:

He would have kept me awake and have driven the censors crazy!

Hosting the Oscars is said to be "the toughest gig in Hollywood."

It is also the most thankless job in Hollywood.

Kinisen...? Nah. I want the Oscars, not the MTV movie awards...
