You got it Cheval.

If anyone would like to add a name to the poll, alert me and I'll add it.

Amok's Forum (Hey, it's my suggestion, I'm trying to sell it before the poll closes!) should have some clearly defined rules though because I can easily see it degrading (sorry Av) into Think Tank Bush bashing.
Maybe a Non-political rule of some sort.
I don't know.
Kin's archeology thread should be moved to this new forum too.

I think that the tank has some of the greatest debates on the watch. We live in free countries and where opinions are free to have. And being able to express those views is what make our respective nations so beautiful. If we do have different political view points in regards to histroy, it is no suprise that we'll disagree.

However I disagree with the need to forbid certain subject matter in a forum such as this; the problem isn't politics when you refer to the Think Tank bashing; it's the people who express theur opinions too passionately. Even this isn't a bad thing until you start insulting opposing opinions. This is what we should objecting too, not the subject itself.

Hey, I'm a History/Sociology major-I want clean, well researched debate. I better start rereading Runes in earnest, right now, but I'm going to be all over this. 8)

Ok, I'm a little rusty on my Chronicles trivia, but who was Doriendor Corishev anyway? The first communist Lord?

And don't worry MsMary, we're probably going to compliment adding this forum with sacking some others. Heh.-jay

I'm going to be involved in the forum as well. I've recently taken up a history course. And one of my options for university incoporates history. I would also encourage a clean debate with evidence to back it up - that is, after all, being an historian is; making an objective analysis backed with evidence.

It is the ancient city of Berek Halfhand and the Queen of that time. It was destroyed by the Raver if I remember correctly.

Ok--get out your LFB, look at the map--it's kinda inbetween Doom's Retreat and Garrotting Deep. Remember TIW? That's where Troy's boyz got attacked by the "griffin" and encountered The Vortex of Trepidation. It was also the ancient kingdom of Berek's Queen and her possesed King. Sort of symbolizes the origination of man in the Land.

I won't make the Doriendor Corishev Forum until someone tells me who or what bloody Doriendor bloody Corishev is! -jay :ct18:

[Edit]

^ Thanks.

Ok, so I totally don't remember that at all.

I don't remember much of TIW.

I should probably reread the first chronicles, but it may take me a year, heh.-jay

Darth already has, you just haven't read all the posts. :P

Doriendor Corishev was the captial city of the national ruled by Berek's King and Queen. The Warward visits its ruins in the Southron Wastes in The Illeart War.

I'm in favor of a history forum, and yeah, Doriendor Corishev sounds like the best name to me out of the ones listed.

I LOVE history.

So Jay, what do you remember about the Chronicles? :P

He remembers only his hatred for Linden; not Linden herself. ;)
