Gawd...I hope TC has some lines in the next one. She is WAY to mushy and yukka for my tolerance....LOL

Or the less THOOLAH-approved but equally relevant:
"Hellfire & Bloody Damnation"
It's repeated throughout the Chronicles many times, so it's still as much of a quote as SHALL Pass Utterly (still can't bring myself to say "should". bleegh)

Just make it something that involves a human figure and a gnarly tree, so that the cover can be just like book 2!
'Forestals and Formication'
'The One Forest Strikes Back!!'
'Robes of Argence 'R' Us'

After reading FR you can add 'The Crepuscular Mimosa'
Why not call it
The Wurd of the Earth

Shall Pass Utterly
Shall Pass Utterly
Shall Pass Utterly
But, alas, the end of FR says the next book will be AATE. So we are stuck with it. Why did he do that? Was it advised to him? I need to check the GI. Has anyone read it and seen an answer to that?

SRD was asked to change the title by the publisher and the editor. The thought was that "Shall Pass Utterly" was an ambiguous title and wouldn't help the book sell. "Against All Things Ending" was a title that both SRD and Putnam's could live with.
Personally, I think the people at Putnam's are morons.

Did anyone else notice that the phrase "Shall/should pass utterly" was actually used in Fatal Revenant? Can't recall when and where, but I know I read it in threre somewhere! I may also have seen "all things ending" in there as well.

I saw that. I think it was Caerroil Wildwood who said it. SRD had probably written that in before being forced to change the title of Cov. 9.
I still say "Shall Pass Utterly" would've been an awesome title!

How about Tales of Topographic Oceans..............
..................this topic is sounding a lot like lyrics for a Yes album.....should it go into vespers?
Perhaps we should invite Jon Anderson onto the Watch.
Yeah

..."Shall Pass Utterly" was part of Wildwood's lament/question for Linden, where he asks if all truth and (beauty?) "shall pass utterly" from the land....

YES, I can just see it now! The final confrontation takes place when the Ravers finally take a physical form of their own, and turn out to be Turbo and Ozone! The fate of the Land and all the universe is then decided by the sickest breakdance fight ever!
