what if that line is somewhere in the middle instead?
It'll still be at the end, in the sense that that'll be the point I quit reading it and start burning it.

is that really fall? maybe it is late summer?
Yeah, haha, funny guy. Instead of lame jokes, you should instead be offering to buy us submission team people dinner, wash our cars, hooking us up with Waddley, buying our plane tickets to Seafest SF; anything that might get your submissions accepted.....

I'm undecided. I have a couple of things finished, which is unusual for me, so I could... But at the same time, I really don't know if I can be bothered. Heh.

The hypocrisy issue doesn't bother me much.

you might surprise yourself. The worse that can happen is you'll get rejected. And with that might come some constructive criticism that'll help you improve your writing so you might be able to get something accepted into the next edition. I say go for it!

:-) This forum has heated up since my computer succumbed. I like what I see.

Back to work on INTO THE LIGHT. Thanks for the kind words on the various threads, folks. I follow the A4 with interest.

Well guys, if it is any inspiration for you I've begun work on my submission. Though I've only produced 2000 words thus far I've written just enough to really paint myself into a corner (like I always seem to do) and I'm sitting around trying to figure out where to go from here. :-) I plan to have my story completed by mid July if possible. In case you might be wondering I'm not trying to write any of the PRIMER ideas I had posted before.

:)

I wonder who will finish first, you or Hyperception? He's exactly at the same point, roughly 2000 words and apparently painted into a corner. However, not having written fiction in years, I suspect your's will go slightly easier.

...truthfully, it's questionable if he will even complete it...here's hoping...

(it doesn't help that the old PC he wrote the first 1000 words on has decided to die, and he needs to reproduce them now)

Well in the end it's not whether you finish first but if you are chosen for the book. Here's hoping I can manage to do both. :-)

heh
I'll be pleased if Hyperception finishes the story, period.
If he then actually submits, whether chosen or not, I'll be flabbergasted. ;)

But, should he not complete it by the August deadline, I can continue to encourage him to work on it for next year. The concept...intrigues me.

Heh, mine. I criticised the third anthology. To submit to this one would be hypocritical, but I can probably live with that. Still, I suspect I'll be too apathetic.

It wasn't criticism. You had a valid concern. We forgive you. Now submit something, dammit. ;)
