Can I have a week? I have a story ready, just need to polish it over, and retype it -- its a story I have submitted to a few magazines years ago, but they weren't interested. I lost the electronic version but have the original MS...

I don't see a problem but PM one of the submission team to let them know. It will have an impact on when they will be able to make their final decision and allow Joy/dragonllilly to begin her editing process.

I've PM's Vs to ask for an extension. Just 'til tomorrow. Because you guys write your dates backwards, I thought the deadline was tomorrow.
Deepest apologies. I beg the teams indulgence to allow me to e-mail my submission in tomorrow, Wednesday 8th August.

Yes, if I'd read the whole thing. I knew it was Auguist though, so I just saw the first number and read it as the day.

i am having minor surgery within the hour, i have pm'd someone for a extension. but i have forgotten who. i hope to be ok tomorrow and hope to submit then.
