null & I have the same tastes.
I'll watch "HAIR" whenever it comes on T.V.
because I like the music (however cheesy it may get)
and I can relate to the whole hippie era.
(Oh, how so free-spirited we were then.)
Plus, I thought that the twist at the end was kinda sad.
(The war was a sad thing to get sent off to.)

Gosh so many
Singing in the Rain
Anchors Away
Summer Stock
Showboat
Grease
Team America: World Police
West Side Story (Yea, I know, not well liked around these parts)
To name just a few.
Couldn't deal with Evita or Moulin Rouoge, only made it through about half of each one.

It's one of my favorite movies of all time. But alongside that, for musicals, I would throw in a bunch of Disney stuff.
Pocohantus, for one.
I dont think the
Nightmare Before Christmas was Disney, but it's still good.

And Little Mermaid too. I haven't seen Beauty and the Beast, but Pocahontis was beautifully sung.

The first time I saw
this video from the opening scene of
Rent I thought I would really enjoy the movie, but actually I didn't enjoy it at all.

Oh yeah,
The Nightmare Before Christmas. Definately not Disney, but another great Elfman musical.

Join the club, Menolly. However, I do love the Amadeus soundtrack. It contains a good mix of interesting music, and not just Mozart's.
