For those unable to view it properly: I downloaded it, converted it to .wmv and put it on my server. You can grab it

After reading this, my Internet connection suddenly started working again (it’s been on the fritz the past two days).
Not only that, but the Iron Man trailer loaded. Okay--any moment now a 16 ton weight is going to crush me.
EDIT: Dayum! I know next to nothing of Iron Man, but I've never been more excited for a super hero film. That prototype armor was my favorite: the gray color, the cumbersome-looking bulk; it had a non-CGI feel to it-- especially during the flamethrower part.

I'm sorry, and I am sure nobody will be surprised by this, but it looks trashy. And it's really jarring: I realise it's a trailer, but the first third of it seemed like a comedy, the second third seemed like a cheap 80s movie, and the last part just seemed too over the top. I guess this is one for lovers of the comic. Heck, TFs was the same and I enjoyed that.

That does look wicked cool.
Totally unbelievable. Kinda like the idea that Batman's outfit is even remotely useful in hand-to-hand combat--or Superman's powers.
But cool.

I have hopes on this one because, unlike all the other Marvel movies released thus far, Iron Man was developed directly by Marvel Studios - which hopefully means they did not add gratuitous changes to the characters or to the story which we are now sadly used to due to the interference of other production companies or the so-called "vision" of directors hired by them. That is to say, Marvel had complete creative control over this one, so...

Jackson's scene is being hotly debated among fans... because it is rumored to be a cross-over with the new Hulk movie, following statements that he, Downey Jr. and William Hurt (as well as, possibly, Edward Norton) shot a scene that would tie the two movies together. Presumably, since "Hulk" is also being developed directly by Marvel, this is both to enforce the idea that these movies happen in the same world (something which could not be done with Spider-Man, the X-Men, and so on, because the rights are owned by different studios), but also as a possible prelude to an Avengers live-action movie.
Marvel has already stated, after all, that once it has started the franchises of a few more characters - Captain America and Thor come to mind, both scheduled for 2009 or 2010 - they want to get all these actors together to make an Avengers movie, and they also stated that they'll only do it if all the actors who play the different characters in the solo franchises will be willing to reprise their roles in the team-up movie.

Hey, how comes aTOMiC hasn't commented on this one yet? Did he faint when he watched it?

He did, in the comics forum, before you posted it in this thread.
