When KiGirl first joined I PM'd her and asked her what part of Kentucky she was from. Then, after I saw the pic of Mr. and Mrs. Malik, I had to search my sent PM file to make sure that I didn't send her anything that could be construed as predatory in an axe-murdering, hunt you down through the Internet kind of way. Thankfully (because Malik looks like he could whip my ass,) I didn't.

But I'm still scared to death to take him on in the 'tank or the Close. Just like I felt towards Prebe for the longest time. I prefer to lurk even if I strongly disagree, as I just know my attempts would be torn to shreds.

thank you, menolly, for saying that. i'm sure he has been tough on people and i am also sure that if he has been "mean" to anyone, he has apologized for it. he is intense, no doubt. we disagree on issues from time to time and there have been some issues that we've settled on agreeing to disagree.

I was, shall we say, less than thrilled the first time Malik and I posted in the same thread. Heh. But things are much better now.

malik is a good guy. i could tell you stories of how he has treated me and how i have seen him with other people that would probably surprise anyone here. as much as he comes across as some cold-hearted republican, he's not. he is the most honest person i know. i have a tremendous amount of respect for him and i just love the guy...what else can i say. except that i don't like it when someone calls him mean. because he isn't.

Malik is OK by me. He gives as good as he gets and there's nothing wrong with that. I usually cheer at some of his posts.
