When I visited SRD's website, there was a quote about how in many ways the Last Chronicles are a way to answer the dangling questions from the Second.
Along those lines, I would suggest that there is a huge mystery about the Worm. Namely, if the Creator made the world, why did he make it with the Worm at all? Is it a manifestation of Foul's marring, or perhaps the mechanism of same? Then again, perhaps in some strange way the Worm IS the Creator, or his Avatar in the world which explains why he cannot act directly--because to do so would awaken his own physical incarnation, i.e. the Worm.
Me, I suspect that in some strange way Covenant is the Creator-- and somehow Roger is the Despiser. But that is just something out of left field.
