"You can't expect to wield extreme executive power just cause some watery tart threw a sword at you."
"Did you see him repressing me? You saw that, didn't you?
"Bring me a shrubbery"
"That's the most foul, cruel and bad tempered rodent you ever set eyes on!"

Question for both of you.
When the "witch" is exposed using King Arthur's scientific method, she says....something like "Fair cop" or "that's a fair cop".
What the hell does that mean?
It's some kind of English slang right?
What would be the equivalent in American slang?
I've always wondered.

She says "That's a fair cop" and I believe it means "Ok you got me" admitting guilt. I could be wrong though.

Searched around, found an answer to tat question (easier than trying to explain it myself):
www.worldwidewords.org/qa/qa-fai2.htm
Of course, in this context it's used with heavy irony.

I try my best but I end of giggling like a fool and then can't get the lines out. I can quote Life of Brian also.

I cannot believe "Go ahead, punk, make my day" is not on that list . . .

After seeing your avatar, all I can think of is,
Come with me to the MilkBar my merry Menchicks
and
Would you two birds like to come up to my flat for a little of the old in-and-out?

As for Holy Grail, I find I keep using, "...and then, the oral sex" a lot lately.

I've seen that movie so many times, I could almost be considered pathetic.

I love that movie. But I probably quote it at inappropriate times. People get confused when I greet them with, "Hi, hi, hi, Mr. Deltoid!"

"Let's not quibble about who killed who . . ."
My wife watches a lot of horror, so "I'm not dead yet" gets used an embarrassing number of times.

I think I could quote most of Holy Grail even before I saw the movie (about a year ago). Just as a testament to how often people quote it.
