OK. The song was "Steam Heat" from the musical "The Pajama Game" (Georgette also sang it in an episode of the Mary Tyler Moore Show...)

IS, I am going to guess that you learned this obscure little ditty long ago and it somehow, probably due to occasions such as this, stayed with you. I myself have a few not-too-well-known show tunes floating around the noggin but am sad to say that I must, and thanks only to your clue, take a shot in the dark.

I am going to guess that the theme to Bewitched has lyrics.

Yes, it does, and those are some of them.

On the other hand, those lyrics have been used on a number of occasions, including rather prominently in the movie (as sung by Steve Lawrence).

But, no matter how you slice it, you got the answer, and therefore the opportunity to select the next tune challenge.

I knew that song right away. I used it for an audition about a zillion years ago. I got the part.
