Enders Game is supposed to be released this year; when it is, it will need to be added to the list.

My guess is that the twist in Eddie and the Cruisers was one of two things; A) the pathetic, yet intended twist of showing 'Eddie' is still alive, or B) the unintended twist of, just when the viewer thinks this idiotic piece of crap flick cannot possibly get any worse, it does.

Anyway, I'd like to mention 'Brazil' and 'Birdy' as two of my favorite twist endings.

I liked the Others for a twist. Also, I thought that MNS's "Unbreakable" had a good end as well.

I also agree with Malik's "The Prestige". I didn't see the twist in that one coming and in the blink of an eye the story went from a period piece with a revenge theme to a sci-fi flick!

One other one that stands out for me is "Presumed Innocent" with Harrison Ford. A good courtroom drama with a killer twist!
War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself. Another good call. I was trying to think of the title of this flick but couldn't remember it at all.

I dunno...the Others I had figured out VERY early on in the film and it kind of ruined it for me.

And I find it weird in 12 Monkeys that the big twist wasn't listed as:
Spoiler
he witnesses his own death as an adult when he was a child.
The Army of 12 Monkeys was a big twist, but not quite as shocking as the one I listed.

The Sting is mandatory for a top 20 list.
