My guess is that the twist in Eddie and the Cruisers was one of two things; A) the pathetic, yet intended twist of showing 'Eddie' is still alive, or B) the unintended twist of, just when the viewer thinks this idiotic piece of crap flick cannot possibly get any worse, it does.dlbpharmd wrote:My picks would be "Fight Club" and "The Usual Suspects." Can't figure out what the twists were in "Citizen Kane" and "Eddie and the Cruisers" though.
Anyway, I'd like to mention 'Brazil' and 'Birdy' as two of my favorite twist endings.

Dandelion will make you wise
Tell me if she laughs or cries

I'm just a dandelion
a fate I don't deserve.

I also agree with Malik's "The Prestige". I didn't see the twist in that one coming and in the blink of an eye the story went from a period piece with a revenge theme to a sci-fi flick!
One other one that stands out for me is "Presumed Innocent" with Harrison Ford. A good courtroom drama with a killer twist!

War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself. I dunno...the Others I had figured out VERY early on in the film and it kind of ruined it for me.
And I find it weird in 12 Monkeys that the big twist wasn't listed as:
The Army of 12 Monkeys was a big twist, but not quite as shocking as the one I listed.
