How good does broadcast TV look on your PC monitor, Es? My memory of it was that it was just short of awful, which is why I prefer to watch TV on TV. Now, if I had an HDTV tuner, the picture might be a whole lot better. I know ATI has a Theatre 650 Pro card that is supposed to be able to pull in HDTV channels, but I don't know how well it works. (Sorry, don't mean to turn this into Computer Corner.)
Anyway, this is a good thread to have.

Me? I'm just checking out the PGA Buick Invitational...but I see Tiger Woods has a massive lead. Ho hum.

it really depends on the tuner really, but the resolution on a monitor can be set as high as the card and monitor can provide, which can be even better than a tv in some cases. honestly, alot of these new lcd monitors have tv tuners built right into them, so thats the way I'm going eventually, to just have one for both tv and pc. but that doesn't help when you want to do pc stuff and watch tv at the same time. having more than one pc, with one having a tuner in it, is probably something I'll always do anyway.

I've always liked ATI, but make no mistake they've always given me trouble, installing and using them, but once I got it all figured out, they've done what I've wanted them to do. Getting reviews on stuff helps immensely picking the right one for you.
And I'm watching The Godfather on A&E. it's one of those movies I've seen a million times, and one of those movies I just have to watch whenever it's on for some reason, heh.
