I see a lurker. Wonder if the lurker will post.
Actually, two lurkers.
Come out and say hello.

If he/she posts, then he/she won't be a lurker anymore, so, in fact they lose their lurker status by coming out in the open.
What have you people got against lurkers?
Leave the lurkers alone - I say, save the lurker, it's an endangered species round here.

A lurker is allowed to post occasionally. In fact, most lurkers have at least one post. Lurking means that they post rarely, not that they never post at all.
I just think it would be nice to say hello to them.

Seeing this thread reminded me of a post I made a while back. Just because I can, I will now inflict it on a new generation of Watchers.

Oh, btw, the mention of WGD's is in reference to the old "corrupt" system we had in place at the time:
Having new members to beef up the stats is nice and all, but two separate species of creatures apparently populate the Watch:
Elohimus Silentus Dumbstruckus -- most striking behavioral feature of this specimen is that it registers itself at the Watch, then inexplicably loses all volition or willpower to submit an actual post. Perhaps due to a sudden loss of ability to count beyond "0." It has also been pointed out that some of these creatures have accumulated significant sums of things called WGD's without any clear explanation. I propose it is caused by a strong gravitational field, like how a black hole sucks in the immediate surrounding matter...though I stress this is only a conjecture, and has not yet been submitted to Prof. Stephen Hawking for review.
Postelohimus Vocallus Vociferous -- the species that actually retains the will to post after the initial terrifying ritual of registering. A case could be made for this species being refined further into Vociferous minor and Vociferous major, but that is beyond the scope of this treatise...
And just for the heck of it, this was Xar's great reply:
Xar wrote:I propose that the first species of KW specimens is simply too astonished by either the friendly bickering or the sheer, inordinate genius of several Postelohimus Vocallus Vociferous specimens, to the point that they feel dismayed that they will never reach such an exalted status, and prefer to lurk in the shadows, unseen, contenting themselves with reading and silently looking on the Watch...
It has been shown that the Elohimus Silentus Dumbstruckus is notorious because of its enormous shyness, and several specimens also displayed low self-worth in regards to most Postelohimus Vocallus Vociferous specimens... Despite all efforts, the Elohimus Silentus Dumbstruckus is, however, an extremely resilient (read: stubborn) species, and it seems to be in no danger of extinction at the moment. Currently, scientists are attempting to coax the species towards self-awareness and individual specimens towards first posts, but except for a few isolated cases, it looks like an experimental dead end...
Ah, yes, the days of '04...back when I still had clever things to post...

Pee Yew! This thread is starting to stink of self pity.

...Not to mention that not a single lurker has posted yet...

I tried my special lurker call, apparently it doesn't work anymore...

I'm just trying to help the cause here, people.
Self-pity? Nah, I don't normally use KW as a place to air my personal problems. But that's just my personal view. No offense intended to any and all who like to share personal stuff on the 'net.

I still say they are out to get us, man....
I mean....after I posted my "paranoid" post yesterday, the forum blew up, and I couldn't get on again before I left work for the day. And around that time was when Heath Ledger was announced dead. And Doar....poor Doar....
I'm tellin' ya man...They're gonna catch us all...like we were Pokemon...

I've toned down my post above, which seemed a bit too harsh when I re-read it. Apologies.

I can't remember what it was anymore, MM, but I don't remember it being particularly harsh.

I considered calling myself "The Sarangrave Lurker" when I joined KW.
(for obvious reasons)

Did you suck others into your morass?
I just wanted to combine "suck" and "morass."
That is all. Move along.

Oh God, you've just reminded me of a World of Warcraft party I went to the Black Morass with, one guy just kept on with the More Black Ass jokes.

Lurkey-loos. . .
Actually, I lurked her for a couple of months before I even bothered to register or post. *shrugs*
