It's not that I hate romantic comedies, I'm just tired of the formula. When a movie breaks it, I am quick to notice. (Like Juno, which is really a romantic comedy, but is actually good so no-one calls it that.)
By the same token, I have had girls whine (for pretty much the same reasons) about seeing bond flicks (and other goofy action movies) with us guys.
Quick reccomendation: Chungking Express. I would only call 2nd part romantic comedy, but it is really well filmed. Thought it was awesome.

I'm surprised Tom Hanks isn't on the list. His movies seem to do well, don't they?

Joe vs the Volcano and Bonfire of the Vanities were both commercial and critical flops. Both were in the period of his career before he became a major star, however.

Those don't count, right?

The list is of people whose careers survive despite flops, not people who don't have flops at all.

Ok, my bad. According to Montressor, Tom Hanks had movies that flopped and he's still going strong.

Joe vs. the Volcano is one of my all time favorite movies. And I'm not kidding. It's something you have to watch more than once though.
And is there any actor that has had a track record of 100% hits? I can't think of any.
