Maybe that's why he's wrapped up...
... Linden put her hand to her mouth. She had never cared much for the turpitude of television during her time in medical school and as an intern. Yet, there was one old show on the TNT network...
Shocked, she cried out, "You're Lee Majors!" ...

Linsey Wagnor is a bit old to be Linden. She's well into her later 50's or near 60.. I believe she was born in 1949..
We need a actress around 30 to 35 for the second chronicles and around 40 - 45 for the last one.

That's like how I think the
Mahdoubt (always put a spoiler on any Last Chron character referenced in this forum please-danlo)
must look like Gwen Stefani from No Doubt.

This isn't strictly speaking a casting thread. This is just a "what does she look like" thread. So Bionic Woman Lindsey Wagner is a legitimate candidate.
You know who else was always on my Linden list? The lawyer from the Rockford Files ...

Not a great picture.

This cover (which shows Linden fairly well) always reminded me of an actress I've seen very infrequently. I remember her from the movie "She's Having a Baby" Isabel Lorca. She has a distinct french accent so when she speaks it ruins it but when I look at that cover...
I can't find a picture from the movie but here is one from when she appeared on STNG.

That doesn't match my image of her
at all.

Agreed.

I always imagined Linden as the most constipated woman on the planet. Who would that be?

Perhaps if we mix in a little Kathy Bates and a pinch of Rosanne Bar our abomination would be complete.

For some reason, I can picture Rosie playing Lord Osondrea.
I just looked up Kathy Bates because I didn't remember her... she looks a lot like how I picture the Mahdoubt.

Lindsey Wagner is Wrong Wrong Wrong! She's too damn old and happy!
She's got to be younger and can pull off the miserable, stern thing real easy.. Like Cate Blanchett. Though she's just too attractive and cute-looking...
The reason I got into the TC series - the reason it was so accessible - was the way TC spoke (except from hellfire) was so true to the way people I grew up with speak.. In my head his voice would have been either English or Australian, something easy to listen to and understand.. But then, one of the most disappointing and off-putting moments in the book was Jeremiah's 'Hi mom.' Then it was like 'Oh no, they all speak like that..' and I felt all nauseous... Such a disturbing, unpleasand voice..

You have a point there: Linden would not fit the normal definition of a "happy" person.
However, in terms of the "look" of the character, Lindsay Wagner is all right.
But not Cate. Sorry. I mentioned in another thread that I never pictured Linden as having a chiseled, high-cheekbone look.

That's actually not far from how I imagine Osondrea as well.

What about Diane Lane?

For me it's got to be Jodie Foster. Severe, yet not unpretty face.
