Hmmm... toss up between "Sugarwalls" by Sheena Easton, "Morning Train" by Juice Newton or Faith Hill's horrific mortifying and purely evil countrified version of "Piece of my Heart." OH and that one song by Suzanne Vega that goes Da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da.... that is surely playing in the waiting room to hell.

After further consideration, I want to add 'Flying Without Wings' by Westlife. The epitome of the soulless, factory-produced power ballad, unfailingly sung with 'emotional' gurning that makes me seethe with barely suppressed rage. There are plenty of songs out there based on actual, genuine emotion - so why does this vacuous crap always sell?

Absolutely. I never understood the appeal of this song.
I hate Sweet Child o' Mine for the same reason Cag hates Tainted Love. I didn't mind it until the 500th time I heard it in a week.
The Dreaming wrote:However "More Than a Feeling" literally induces vomiting every time I hear it.
Don't make me get pedantic on your ass. If it literally induces vomiting, I expect you to produce the regurgitative residue on request.

I really hate all the current music by the bands that share the stupid style of Panic at the Disco! It is repetitive, needlessly wordy, non-musical self-involved emo crap!!!!

While there have been some great picks, nothing can compare with the penultimate Billy, Don't be a Hero, and the greatest audible horror ever: Run, Joey, Run!

I can't believe I forgot...
"Your Body is a Wonderland" by John Mayor. Seriously GAG me. There is some good stuff on that album, but by far the WORST track is his biggest single.
God I hate that song, even worse are the pretentious John Mayor fans, and worse still are the deuchebags who play this at parties, worse STILL are the girls who swoon over it. I have come VERY close to pulling a Belushi in Animal House on guys who play this. On FRIENDS who have played this song.

Live in concert, Sarge? I think I would have jammed pens in my ears and punctured my ear drums to escape that.

The Spice Girls. "Wannabe". Worst. Song. Ever.
And it still gets airplay now, almost 10 years on.

I'm not a fan of that song but Manson didn't do too bad a job with it...considering:

I just heard one on the radio. 'You're So Vain'. Just hearing one line of it practically gives me a stomach ulcer.

They did. It's truly dire. I have no words for it.

I'm very tempted to look it up but...I just know I will regret it!
Oh! Another I can't stand is Kate Nash's Foundations.
You're so vain is also pretty awful s you say Cov.

I can tolerate that, not because I like it but because it was played all the time when I was at college, which was a fairly happy time. So when I hear it, it comes with pleasant memories.
