Comic books also encourage the tradition of picking up someone elses story line, in fact the industry survives because of revolving writers.

I think that Jane Lindskold did a very admirable job of working with and getting to know Roger Zelazny before he died and finishing Lord Demon and Donnerjack. I think she was a grad student who's thesis was on Zelazny and moved out to Santa Fe to learn more of him, but ending up working with him. I haven't read any of her individual stuff or her "Wolf" books but I really appreciate her being there at the end, and after, for Roger.
