Inflation. A ward just doesn't stretch as far as it used to. ;)

Springwine. After a Council meeting the Lords would all joke about how they were going to go look for the 8th Ward down at Soranal's Tavern.

I can't see the name 'Soranal' without hearing the FBH girls asking Higgins O'Higgins "Why would you name a character 'Sore Anal'?"

That is too funny! I wonder if when they were there they drank EarthBeer in order to obtain the Power of Alibi (prior to facing the Wrath of the Significant Other).

The 8th ward, hmmm? Now it comes out - if the previous seven wards had been discovered and deciphered in order, then they would have known to use the Power of Command to ask "Where is the secret 8th ward?"

Well, I hope it stops with the 8th Ward. The Ninth Ward flooded when the levees were overcome.

That would be very interesting, but since white gold is not native to the Land, who would have brought it there to begin with? I demand a Prequel!

also to get back to the main thrust of my question....... where is Soranal's pub and how much for an earthbeer...... no no no I mean, surely someone in the Land in 3000 years would have accidently stumbled over a glowing chest (or some thing of that ilk) and wonder what it was..... I mean you go anywhere around England and you fall over Pre-historic, Celtic, Roman and Medieval ruins etc!!!

Maybe one of the wards is buried under Andelain and it helped Andelain recover from the ROD faster than the rest of the land.

I was thinking more about detailing his part in the war and what happened after the fire lions. Maybe with follow up books about loric, damelon and kevin. That would rock.

I believe SRD has stated that he will not be doing any prequels about Berek, Kevin etc. - mentioned in the GI.

No 'silmarillion' of the Land even

We can always do our own! ;)

Good question, I was thinkiing maybe Loric took a trip to our world and some old Guy in an Ocher robe walked up to him and said "Take this ring..ward it well..it is the keystone of time(maybe something a little more cryptic)..., Loric came back buried the white ring in the center of Andelain creating a gateway called Lorics Lair, :P very similar to Damelons door-the whitegolds presence created a raw power which in later years Berek moulded into the earthpower with his ritual of fire lions. could that be the hinted at white gold?

Im stepping into territory im not familiar with, as you can see in my signature.

Given the hard-to-get-to locations of the 2nd and 7th wards I wonder where the 4th, 5th, and 6th are at. I'd guess they are in some other spot in the land that takes a lot of work to arrive at.

In the middle of the Great Swamp?
The icy north?
The mountainous area south of Foul's Creche we've never seen?
Burried deep within Revelstone?
Maybe right under the despiser's nose in Foul's Hideout itself.

Maybe TC & co, in one of their long journies, already passed by one of the other wards.

The Haruchi know where they are. Let's make one of 'em talk. :-)
