Thank you everyone, for the hugs, the support. After I went home I regretted posting this... like, did other people really have to know? But seeing as this event didn't even make the local news-- I don't know, someone has to know about it. Human beings died.
DOTD, that must have been traumatic. I hope you're getting over it.
It was shocking, but sadly not really a surprising thing. I believe God gives strength to bear whatever situation He asks you to go into, and my experience has borne that out.
And it's all wrong, all of it. Robbery, slacker police, vigilanteism, needless death. It's anarchy.
Exactly. We live in a fallen world.

I think the hardest part about living here is watching what could have, SHOULD HAVE been a great nation slip into anarchy with each passing month. My grandmother enjoyed better health care, nutrition, infrastructure, schooling and electricity a hundred years ago than Nigerians (with the exception of the .1% who are fabulously wealthy because they are sucking the lifeblood of the country).

Nigeria is the keystone of West Africa, and it is crumbling. If you are a person that prays, I crave your prayers for Nigeria.

We're going to be fine, and if things ever get too bad we have America to run back to. Not so 150 million others. [/quote]
