What if Spiderman joined the Fantastic Four?
All lies and jest
Still a man hears what he wants to hear
And disregards the rest

Life is a waste of time
Time is a waste of life
So get wasted all of the time
And you'll have the time of your life

Imagine all the mother's day cards you'll have to send out in the Afterlife if that's the case.

Anybody else have any great imponderable "what if's"?
Sure, lots of them. Straight out of the Bible (but no less capricious, arbitrary, or horrifying).

What if God exists and he hates you eating pork.
What if God exists and he hates it when you call his priests "baldy" and sends bears to attack children who violate this unwritten rule?
What if God exists and he doesn't want you to eat fruit which he put in your own garden?
What if God exits and he thinks it's okay to drown every organism on the planet except one family of each species?
What if God exists and he tells one group of humans--his favorites--that it's okay to enslave all the other humans?

Shoelaces? Why the hell not?
What if you just don't understand the significance or purpose of those examples you give (straight out of the Bible)? What if you've just misunderstood them and are outraged at nothing? What if there are some things that do have good reasons that you are just not ready to understand (like a 4-year-old child regarding a complex issue)?
(PS - not pretending to be the 'parent' here; at best, a brother)
"Eh? Two views? There are a dozen views about everything until you know the answer. Then there's never more than one." Bill Hingest ("That Hideous Strength" by C.S. Lewis)

"These are the days when the Christian is expected to praise every creed except his own." G.K. Chesterton

What if the Bank of God ran out of money and came to Uncle Sam for a bail out,,and Uncle Sam couldn't get the votes..Would God go to the Muslims?...
If she withdrew from exaltation, she would be forced to think- And every thought led to fear and contradictions; to dilemmas for which she was unprepared.
