I like how Orlando Bloom wears a spike to try to look a bit more blokey in his off time ... I wonder how many times people have handed him shirts to iron.

I have personally never claimed to have the slightest idea what women want.

I've never once said that Orlando Bloom wasn't very pretty.

I can't wait to see Aragorn as Ellessar!! In all his Kingly garb!! woooooo hoooooooo Viggo as King!!! I'm drooling just thinking about it :S

Who'd thought that LOTR would've evolved into a chick-flick? Geez

All this (shameless) drooling...

At least Liv Tyler looked fine for us fellas...

Liv looked better in earlier movies. Miranda Otto (Eowyn) was much better, eye-candy-wise. I think Liv put on a couple pounds or something . . .

Obviously, from all the amount of drool in this thread *wipes some off his shoulder*, it's obvious that the wants of a woman aren't based on coherent thought. Then again, neither are the wants of a man, but, uh, that's not the issue! *Walks quietly and quickly away*

Atnn Lord Foul, I suggest "Nostradamus Kid" and "Love Serenade" to get your Miranda Otto fix.

She's always been a cutie, and she's a Bloody Australian :)

(son of aussie acting legend Barry Otto. they play son and daughter in curriculum film "Dead Letter Office". Other great Motto films include brilliant psychological thriller "The Well")

Liv Tyler is still a cutie!! :) she made an excellent Arwen I thought ;) perfect .. and good chemistry with Viggo ;)

I guess I really must clarify my stance re: Aragorn .. lol .. I would say Aragorn was one of my fav characters if not the favourite ;)

Legolas I just adore!! <book first and then film> but overall .. I love the elves and was thrilled at Orlando Blooms casting!! He is perfectly cast imho.

Elvish folk are my most favourite race .. I love the elves .. way more than the race of men .. <of which Aragorn is a part>

though Aragorn is an exception to the race of men .. and we can all agree on that ;) lol

but as for Viggo Mortensen .. he was also brilliantly cast .. and he is quite the studly ;)

ooh yeah .. speaking of aussies .. Cate Blanchett was also brilliantly cast as Galadriel .. to me she is perfect for this role.

I have read some criticism of her casting .. but to me .. she not only is a brilliant actress .. but she is credibly elvish .. and more credibly Galadriel ..

PJ .. really cast well .. Sam was cast well .. the only one I had my doubts about was .. *ducks and covers* ... Frodo ..

he just seemed way to young to play middle aged Frodo :(

but Bilbo .. Gandalf .. Saruman .. Gollum <lol> ;) everyone else was just perfect!!
