(Sheepishly nods) I never got past that point in Half-Life either. I did feel a little guilty that I skipped over what many hailed at the time as the "best FPS ever made."Nav wrote: Halflife and Halflife 2. To be honest, I don't think can legitimately claim to have started Halflife as I never even made it out of Black Mesa. I had no guns just the crowbar, I kept getting lost and falling down holes and then my laptop died and I couldn't face reinstalling and sitting through that train ride again.
At the start of the year, I had finally upgraded my PC, ostensibly so that I'd be able to play the likes of Bioshock in all (or most) of its graphics glory. But I never got around to that game. I really should install some FPS - any FPS - before I lose my action gaming credibility altogether...Same goes for Bioshock. I wanted to love it, I really did but I just can't face picking it up again. At the point I'm at, big daddies are too hard and the plasmids too awkward or not effective enough so it really sucks the fun out of playing. I've heard that if you persist the game opens up again when you get some more powerful weapons, and I'd love to finish the story, but I've actually loaded it up a couple of times, only to thing "nah" at the menu screen and play something else.
