Sliver. Terrible movie. The music is pretty good, though.

Someone indicated that Bandits was a bad movie? Shame on you!!! Before Christian Slater completely sold out he made three great movies: Untamed Heart, True Romance and Murder in the First and the underrated Very Bad Things . Before that he made strange, kind of weird artsy-aimed at the generation stuff that I couldn't get into like Heathers, Pump Up the Volume and Gleaming the Cube.

The soundtrack to Pump Up the Volume is really cool with groups like
Concrete Blonde
Ivan Neville
Liquid Jesus
The Pixies
Bad Brains w/Henry Rollis
Soundgarden
Sonic Youth
and The Cowboy Junkies

I thought Untamed Heart was fairly weak (not a fan of Marisa Tomei). True Romance was great. Heathers is probably still in my top 20 favorite movies, and Gleaming the Cube just rocked from a 13 year-old boy's perspective. Pump Up the Volume slightly less so as 17 year-old.

I should try to pinpoint the exact year. Sorry, I have a soft spot for Untamed Heart...

I graduated from HS in '74 and between Watergate, disco and the discovery of AIDs lost my generation entirely. Crap I was too busy digging the concept of MTV to take a serious look at that your generation. I will say that Slater was involved with music and trends that were groundbreaking and stood the test of time: Soundgarden, the budding skateboarding craze, ideas in True Romance (now the Kilmer character was my generation: the unwanted doper who never left your couch! )...
