I don't know about the second fellah you all are talking about...

so I guess, for now, I'll just vote for the rapist.

I really, really, really, didn't care for Linden. At all. Heh. She just always seemed to bother me. Maybe it was too much of that "Oh, woah is me. I have issues with my parents" thing. Or maybe I just havn't read the series in a while, which is much more likely, heh.-jay

It also bothered me that Covenant seemed to be "dismissed" by others in favor of her. Not sure I'm saying it right. But, case in point, The Elohim brushed him off, didn't want to hear anything he had to say, treated him like some kind of "mistake", and then silenced him. Then they tell Linden to take his ring.

Ohhhhhh that made me so MAD :x

I like Thomas more than Linden anyday. But (though I understand why) his going on and on about being a leper and the way he treated others that tried to help him annoyed me.

I completely agree, but what mad me really angry was when she used he's ring by possessing him. I'm not joking when I say that I can't bring myself to read the end of WGW, when Linden heals the Land. I've read WGW three or four times. I Always stop reading when Foul is dimished by using the ring. When reading the part of Linden using the ring to make a new Staff of Law, and the song comes up; I felt disgusted. I don't think I'm the only one, but I feel really strongly that Linden should NOT have used the ring or at least drawn the wild magic from Thomas. That would have been better.

TC was dead, what was she going to do? stick the ring on his dead specter in andelain?? no... she didn't have time for that, the healing of the land needed action and it needed it immediatly... remember that foul had been defeated and that LA and TC would have returned to the real world very shortly afterwards.

LA simply didn't have the time to do it any other way. she did what time said she had to do.

I didn't like the possessions either, and she did it several times. What infuriated me about her was when she met Kevin in Andelain and he told her that Covenant was planning on surrendering the ring. Instead of going to him and asking if it was true, she raves at him, insults his Dead, and then runs away. What the hell was that???

As far as the ending of WGW goes. Covenant told her to pick up the ring and heal the Land. It was beautifully done. She was the Sun-Sage, she was a healer, and she desperately needed to heal. The merging of Vain and Findail was extraordinary. With Vain saying the words "It is not death, it is purpose. We will redeem the Earth from corruption." That was AWESOME!!! And then she embraces them and they merge. She then takes the Sunbane within herself and heals it..sends it back out into the Land. I bawl every time I read it.

Covenant now IS wild magic, he no longer needs the ring. Linden, as Sun-Sage is the Land's healer with the ring and the new Staff of Law.

Now, onto the Last Chrons....
