It's about time you found it. I didn't know if you were a big Enneagram afficionado or just a dabbler. I'm not really "into" it anymore, it was a 20s thing for me. I learned a lot about it while writing articles on the subject at the time.
jacob Raver, sinTempter wrote:I'd bet there isn't one other 8 on the Watch. Have you seen/read any?
I don't know how to identify them. It was hard enough just to identify myself at one time. And there are other fine typologies out there, Myers-Briggs btw
not one of them despite its popularity. I wouldn't recommend it, but it seems that everybody ends up taking it, either in high school, college, or on the job. The tests are also inaccurate. My highly extroverted step-daughter scored as an introvert on the MBTI in high school. The three other scale results looked accurate, however. My wife took an MBTI-like test through a website she joined before I even met her. Her result was inaccurate. It took me two years to figure out what her type was in that system. But it took me a relatively short time using the Riso-Hudson Enneagram, and that result was far more useful than anything the MBTI produced.

Ooookay, guys. If you're joking around, it helps to use emoticons so other folks *know* you're joking around.
If you're *not* joking around, then let's ratchet it back a bit. Thanks.

Did I mention anything about bipolar? You're admitting to being a cutter then, correct?
That's going a bit far, matey. Definitely crossing the line. Bipolar, yes. Emo, no. Cutter, none of your goddamn business. That's one of those slurs that only a true jerk can throw around. And by the way, the whole condescending attitude you seem to have toward me, not cool. It's pissants like you that make playing around here so not worth it.

That's highly obscure, but you won't catch me assuming that it means something about me or was directed at me personally. I don't make that mistake, I have learned to give people on the Watch the benefit of the doubt because it's the best forum on the net.
Besides, I only address people to direct them on their course; but for some, words are unnecessary as their every choice already conduces to my ends.

Not everybody buys into that wing-theory stuff. So you're a Riso Enneagramist? Or is there a secondary wing in your flavor of the Enneagram? First there were 2 wings, then suddenly 1 wing, and now wing theory is mostly abandoned. On the other hand, I like Riso, he's my favorite Enneagram author. Helen Palmer sucked major juevos. What do you think of Ichavo?
My Ennea-type, by the way, is at your stress point. Makes sense, doesn't it? I used to publish articles in the Enneagram Monthly. I don't know if it's still around. I doubt it. This reminds me of Jack Labanauskas, and the rather impressive survey they did at the EM of their readership (of about 1000) attempting to match Enneagram types to Myers-Briggs types. The poll results are still available online if you're interested, although it is not under Jack's name and he wasn't directly involved in it.
I think there's two, one usually shows through much more than the other...my nine shows through far more often than my seven, but my seven does come out at times...
I don't subscribe to a particular author...I haven't seen anything from the various sourcs I've looked into that seemed innacurate...
You?
...Words: < 1 < , many options...
This was a joke about double-negatives...
Lastly, you are being a berk towards Turiya...

I always had a preference for Riso, back in the day. He was a one-winger. But nowadays I like to say the answer is: these typologies are only subjectively valid anyway, so whatever works for you works for me too.

I see now. Well, it's not a double-negative. At best, you could say it contains a double meaning. I made not one - in other words, it could be either zero, or more than one.

Bipolar does not equal cutter. And cutter does not equal bipolar. And how dare you even ask that of someone?
