Personally, I'm a pretty big fan of The Holy Grail, but you'd have to do a Clockwork Orange number on me to get me to watch Ab Fab, Fawlty Towers, or even Red Dwarf.

Fawlty Towers (I just picked up the series on VHS for my mom, a former Brit herself, and myself at a thrift store recently) and Ab Fab are great. Never understood the fascination with Red Dwarf, though (maybe because I typically like SciFi to be serious?)

Well, Grail was funny the first dozen times I saw it, but not so much now. When I'm with a fellow Grail fan and we're quoting, or sometimes with just a random quote, it can be funny. But, for the most part I'm over Grail.

Life of Brian is the best Python, by far. I may not laugh out loud anymore when I'm watching it, but I still love it.

Airplane, Airplane II, Blazing Saddles, History of the World, Spaceballs....all good stuff.

Fawlty Towers was great, never got AbFab.

Come on Syl! Fawlty Towers absolutely rocked! It's so dam funny. One of my all time favs in Innerspace with Dennis Quaid and Martin Short.

Delicate Delinquent with Jerry Lewis..... this was like many many many eons ago, I watched it with my dad, and we were both crippled with laughter.
Must have been something in the moment... at the time.

I don't think I've ever seen a Jerry Lewis movie in its entirety. I must admit, I've never been a fan of his brand of comedy. Great humanitarian and all, but, sorry, I look elsewhere for my laughs. Still, he's a legend, and that reminds me that I had almost forgotten about the Hope & Crosby "road" pictures. Bob and Bing were a great comedy duo. I don't remember enough of their movies to be able to name a favorite, but they did make me laugh a heckuva lot.

Woody Allen's Manhattan Murder Mystery is another favorite. It may not be laugh-a-minute, but it tickles me in that inimitable Woody Allen way.

Tell me it ain't so! How could you not love the "Worp" drive and Moonbase commander Bill Shatner? One of the funniest movie cameos ever.

And speaking of British comedies, wasn't there some rumour that "Yes, Minister" was actually a documentary?

I think a few of the Pink Panther movies were funnier than Dr. Strangelove.

Galaxy Quest is the funniest movie ever. I mean that.

Yes Minister was regarded to be very accurate. The British civil service would leave work by 5pm to be able to watch it.

I have the VHS of Spinal Tap in my "To be watched, and possibly transferred to DVD" pile (We buy lots of VHS second hand, and if we like them, and they transfer, we transfer to DVD and then cut down the VHS box and put it in a slim line DVD case)
