"Against All Things Spooning".....Lord Fork the Dessert-ter will serve some rack of Ranyn at the ElohimFest, and everybody holds hands, running around in a circle, and singing "Ring around the Ur-Lord", as the Ramen play leapfrog, Liand gets Pahni pregnant, Linden actually smiles (gasp!), and the Giants playfully start tossing entire bushes of aliantha into the caamora/campfire. The Sandgorgons host a square-dancing contest (which Nom wins), while the ur-viles conduct an Easter-egg hunt version of "Find the Hidden Banes" for all the kiddies. The Haruchai perform a Chinese acrobatic routine, followed by a fighting demonstration. A singing competition is held all day long, with Caer-Caveral kicking everyones butt, while the tone-deaf Woodhelvennin gets voted off after the second round by the judges. The Wraiths perform the Dance of the Celebration, but everyone gets so dizzy watching that the Wraiths get booed off the stage. Lastly, the Wayhnim perform as a Black Sabbath tribute band, dedicating the song "Snowblind" to the arguele, "Fairies Wear Boots" to the Harrow, "Paranoid" to Infelice, "War Pigs" to the Cavewights, and "Iron Man" to TC himself.

I mispronounced "Illearth" for years. Everything started to make sense when I figured out the correct pronunciation.

Yup, that's the way I pronounced it during my first reading. I figured it out on my own that it was supposed to be Ill Earth, but, not until at least my second read.

Took me a while on a couple others too, although I don't recall which offhand

Precisely.
This may have been influenced by the fact that I saw the movie "Lilo and Stitch" (my younger siblings loved that movie, so I was exposed to it more than I would have liked) before I read the Illearth War, and one of the characters in that movie pronounces "Earth" as "Ee-arth", so that pronunciation was subliminally ingrained in my mind. Or I just was living up to being a cacoepist (mispronouncer of many words). Take your pick.

Damn funny, Spoonchicken (but is it a fictionalization of your autobiography, since you are obviously terrified of spooning? Or are you a chicken shaped like a spoon? Or do we need to spoon you because you are forkable, but we want to get every drop?...worst of all, are these all jokes other people have already made?)
Anyway, I think AATE is a great title....for a different book. The other is better for theme/continuity.

Me, too. For a short while. (I think I was thinking of "Iliad".) Then one day I got it.

The only word I'm still uncertain about is, "Mahdoubt." When Luci said it, however she said it, I was stunned with a feeling of unfamiliarity.

But surely it's not, "Maw Doubt," is it?

Illearth never gave me any problems.

That's how I read it.
