no, not quite...
he means as in the Watcher dANdeLION...
...and all his alter egos on the Watch. ;)
Who could not possibly have written this book, or any book, since it is well known from his writings that he is not in fact a writer.

:LOLS:
And Avatar, I'm just saying that the author's intentions are relevant in greater or lesser degree depending on the kind and purpose of the analysis.
Hmmm, I suppose that's true. I was making more general sort of comment anyway, not being myself a particularly analytical reader of fiction, I tend toward amusement when people (just in general y'know), insist that the author must be trying to represent XYZ, regardless of whether the author denies it. :D

Ah, yes. Those people. They don't engage text, they distort it...and give criticism a bad name in the process.

Chris, Id like to know if you did any research here at the watch. We are not professional critics, but there are a lot of very insightful people here.

If you havent, I'd suggest to you that there are some great topics where you would get some diverse viewpoints about the chrons.

We'd also love to have you take part, so dont be shy. We are glad you are here. Even if I now have to read WA Senior's Book. But, If we think you are here to just sell the book, we will force you to read The Flower of Doom. And no one wants that. ;)

Welcome to the Watch, Chris. :)

But The Flower of Doom is a modern visionary epic...um, in its own twisted kind of way.

Just wanted to let people know that I just got a copy of the book. I'll probably do a quick read through of it soon and let people know on the main website what I think.

I encourage everyone to check it out though, simply to support all things Donaldson. (Just as we like to try to support Scott Brick's audio versions.)

Oh yeah, I forgot to post when my book arrived the other day. I haven't had much time to read, but I'm a few pages into the introduction. Will post a review when I'm finished.

Please! I'd like a heads up if it's not worth getting. I will if it has even a few things of value.

I will just wait for Wayfriend to read it and post a thoughtful and thorough critique and pointing out the important parts; I will study that for a time and be a complete expert on it without ever cracking it. 8)

Bah. Wayfriend is protected by more Forum e-Bloodguard than you could shake a rune covered staff at.

Quite possibly The Most Important Book Ever.

Flower of Doom may have been my most interesting waste of two hours ever, but it's going a bit far to call it the "most important book ever".
