No harm done, I dont need to be so sensitive. It just so happens that I am particularly vulnerable to Steeler's smack, and I took your comment personally. I would not have even commented on Tomlin but what he said took me completely by surprise. Ive always been of the opinion that the man who holds the trophy doesnt need to say anything at all. As far as respect goes the Browns will just have to earn that, the Steelers already have.

I beleive Tomlinsons injury last season was an ankle problem that was complicated by turf toe. The ankle wasnt very serious , but turf toe is hard to recover from. I give him credit for playing last season, he didnt want his toughness questioned like it had been the previous season, but by playing he slowed his recovery.

Duece McCallister also dropped off the face of the earth. it ends quickly most times for running backs. older qb's can hold a clipboard for years. running backs take too much punishment.

LT will be in perfect form as will Shawne Merriman. I predict the Chargers trade down the board and get Alabama tackle Andre Smith. With Sproles, Gates, Rivers, Chambers, VJAX and Floyd all weapons are loaded. Coach Rivera and Meriman will put the D back to two years ago form and we...could...go...all...the...way. (BTW SD starts the season on MNF against Ray-da nation in the Black Hole)

Now from what I understand, Cutler is shocked!
Says he loves Denver, never wanted things to get to this point!. Sounds like his agent is running things now, and that can't be good.

If I was Denver I'd look hard at Byron Leftwich. I always liked this guy, thought he was a gamer.
His bad ankle had kept him down for a few years, caused him to lose the starting job in Jax.
It's been surgically repaired (properly this time) and he really shone when he got minutes in Pittsburgh this past year. He's ready to contend for a starting role somewhere, he's still young, has the tools, and experience, and he's healthy for the first time in his career.I'd grab him quick if I was looking for a QB.

Well, the Bears got Cutler. Now they have to find someone for him to throw the ball to.

I agree with your evaluation of Leftwich Dromond. Consider that the Steelers probably dont make the playoffs in 2008 without those stand in performances from Byron. He's got a good head on his shoulders, and could be a steal free agent signing for a franchise like Detroit, who doesnt need to waste this years #1 pick on a QB who might be good.

I just read on a Steeler 'site that he's generating almost no interest around the league. One unknown team is talking to him, that's it. He's going to surprise people if he gets the chance. There's going to be some 'we f'd up' quotes next year.

i thought Denver did better than expected in the CHicago trade. two firsts and third. Kyle Orton is servicable. I always thought Cutler was a bit overrated. let's see if he can do anything in Chicago.

depends on the running back...at 10 years, Barry Sanders had not lost anything in comparison to his rookie season. Granted, the fact that he took maybe four solid hits in a game had a LOT to do with that.

I can't believe Cutler is that much of a baby. I actually hope he fails in Chicago. Waa, they thought about trading me, I won't talk to you, trade me. Hello, what an offense you're leaving. For Chicago. Bears. Sucker.
