I like the show, but the last two seasons have been a little weak, though still enjoyable. I blame Mayim Bialik.
"It is not the literal past that rules us, save, possibly, in a biological sense. It is images of the past. Each new historical era mirrors itself in the picture and active mythology of its past or of a past borrowed from other cultures. It tests its sense of identity, of regress or new achievement against that past.”

if it is, turn off the mics in the audience.
laugh tracks are a holdover from an

The Big Bang Theory

Post by michaelm »

I didn't see a Big Bang Theory thread here - I hadn't watched it until a couple of months ago, but find it pretty funny. I like the whole nerd humor thing, and the jokes are well written.

Jim Parsons is excellent as Sheldon Cooper and he cracks me up just with facial expressions or body language.

What really surprised me was that it was written by the same team that produced Two and a Half Men, which I don't find in the least bit entertaining.

I'm not much of a TV watcher anyway, but I did watch quite a few of these recently.

I started another thread as I didn't find this one (looks like it's pretty old) - I started watching this recently and find it really funny.

Definitely agree that Sheldon is the funniest character. I think without him (and the actor that plays him) the show would not be anywhere near as funny.

I've probably watched a dozen or so of them now as it seems that reruns are shown quite often on TBS.
