<Will hold a kitten hostage until information is devulged>

<goes pale> Not the kitten. . . .
Actually, I just called my mom and she isn't answering her phone. She must be out in the garden or orchard doing something or other. It may be a few days before I can get the recipe and post it. . . but I'll do my best. Just don't hurt the kitten. . .

*frowning*
There will be no harming of kittens, nor holding any kittens hostage, for recipes on my shift...

Glare all you want, moderator, this kitten will remain my hostage until that recipe is handed out! And you know what? For your insolence, I'll reveal to you what this kitten will go through while he is my prisoner, behold and despair!
It'll have to sleep on a warm, soft, comfy bed (gasp!)
It'll be feed only the finest and freshest fish (o, the horror!)
I shall play with it using various cat toys such as a feathered thing on a string hanging on the stick (you think I've gone too far? Try to stop me!)
It will be held and loved whenever it allows itself to be!
Yeah, not much of a threat, but I have a burlap sack ready for some puppies

Good luck finding it. Last I knew, Alynna had it. The gods alone know what she did with it...

Well, it doesn't seem as if the kitten is suffering, but I'll ante up anyway!
Here is my mom's recipe. . . hope you enjoy it!
Vinegar Cheese
Bring 1/2 gallon of milk (goat or cow) to 185 degrees F. Add 1/8 cup white or cider vinegar and hold at 185 for 10 minutes. Do not let it boil! After 10 minutes remove from heat and drain into a double thickness of cheesecloth. Drain well (we always hung ours by a string over the sink). When cheese no longer drips remove from the cloth. Place in food processor with a bit of milk and process until a creamy consistancy is achieved. Add salt to tase (1/2-1 tsp salt is a good place to start) and herbs as desired. Yields approximately 1/2 lb cheese spread, or a 16 oz container of cheese spread. Recipe may be doubled.

Yummy, thanks! I may try it this weekend! (I'd say "definitely*, but the girls will be home and I'm not sure I'll have time.

...Does this mean I have to give up the kitten

?

As long as you treat it even better once released than when you claimed it was your hostage, you may keep the kitten.
...but
only because you love it, not as a negotiation tool.
