Isn't literature fine thing after all? It allows us to have our own pictures in our heads.

But in reference to your(Hue of Bone's, not Ur Dead's) last depiction of Foul, I the body is almost exactly as I imagined it, but there's something about the eyes.....to me, the fact they were "fang-like" always lent Foul a kind of 'asian' characteristic...

Interesting improvement on the eyes. But there is still an off-putting slant which just makes him seem too inhuman to match my internal picture.

Underneath his aura, he has a human form. And his eyes, ultimately, must fit that form.
In The Power That Preserves was wrote:Perfectly molded limbs, as pure as alabaster, grew slowly visible-an old, grand, leonine head, magisterially crowned and bearded with flowing white hair-an enrobed, dignified trunk, broad and solid with strength. Only his eyes showed no change, no stern, impressive surge of incarnation; they lashed constantly at Covenant like fangs wet with venom.
BTW, if one's eyes are described as yellow, is the yellow referring to the so-called whites? Or the pupil? These match my internal picture a little bit: they would be "carious" if they were more mottled, as irises can be.

I always pictured the eyes as being yellow beyond the irises, however, it could be that they are so prominent to give the illusion that the whites and pupils appear to be yellowish as well...

But I'm also liking the new rendition of Foul a lot...as far as his human form, I kinda picture hue of bone's avatar with a beard...

anyone asked this in the GI?

I found a reply reguarding Fouls eyes, someone asked if the description of Angus Thermopyle and Lord fouls eyes were coincidence or on purpose..

SRD said:

It's just a coincidence. I was visualizing a very different kind of "yellow" in each case. Angus has human eyes with a yellow-ish tinge to the whites (I've seen people with eyes like that). Lord Foul has what might be considered yellow flames that resemble fangs instead of human eyes. The only "connection" is the fact that I happened to use the word "yellow".

That is rather interesting. Thank you BlackHawk for that. Now will just to think of a way of depicting this

Let him wear shades and the problem is solved.

Nah, don't thank me. It's all in a day's work.

Hmmm... I'd say second one...though I'd like to see the tips of the flames flowing a little outward instead of just straight up.... but you're definintely getting there!

Try eyes with flames for the pupils.
