Actually, it's *quite* receptive to typing, if you're using an anachronistic device called a typewriter....
I wrote most of the first draft of one novel on paper, while commuting via subway. This was back when "portable" computers were as big as a briefcase.
Before that, I used a manual typewriter.
Before *that*, I wrote on notebook paper.
Now get off my lawn!
