As a perfectionist who read Four Seasons, I'd say Shawshank was the best adaptation of a King story so far. Stand By Me was really good, too. I'm still hoping scientists clone Clint Eastwood so we can get the big screen adaptation of the Gunslinger, though.

Bale or Pearce cold manage a good Gunslinger (mind you I've yet to read a Dark Tower book...).
