Yes I agree! I downloaded it here and can hear it but not see it, and it definitely seems to be something about not making promises but thinking about bringing back Damelarn Giantfriend ... that's be fun.
Certain of it.

That's what he said - Damelon Giantfriend.
Sorry for the video and sound quality. It was made with my pocket-sized digital camera (that has extremely limited capability for short clips of low-end video). The lighting outside the banquet room wasn't that great, and there was a lot of background noise. Everyone waiting in line to get to the awards banquet on Sunday afternoon - that's who you hear in the background.
Next year WFC is in Tempe, Arizona (
www.worldfantasy.org). Then Madison, Wisconnsin after that. They're debating the location of the one after that right now. I heard that Australia put in a bid for it. They didn't announce their decision yet (they usually do so at the awards banquet, but didn't mention it). I was sitting at a table with one of the overall con coordinators for WFC, though, and told him that we'd all love to have it down under. He didn't say anything about it one way or another, but I got the impression from the look in his eye that they were leaning in that direction. Keep your fingers crossed!

After scrutinizing it with an intense scrute (quote from Christopher Langham on the Muppet Show):
"Um, I'm not makin' any promises, but I've been thinkin' about bringing back Damelon Giantfriend. That'd be fun."
Thanks for the clip, John.

Cool I downloaded it this morning (don't bother to calculate it, I'm just in a weird time zone

) and watched it, but as my wife was still in bed asleep and I was trying to be quiet I didn't play the audio this time ... so I've witnessed it in two articulated instalments and fwoooooooooooooooooar!
Top job!

One more bit of info. He doesn't have any idea where that other site got the title "The Broken Sky". He said that it sounds familiar, but it is probably the name of someone else's book. The book is still expected to be called "Runes of the Earth", unless the publisher insists on a change.
