Namaste and thank you for joinig our meditation meetup group. We are a group of people who practice a heat-based meditation, that is based on "raja-yoga". This group has been formed for people looking for a simple but effective spiritual practice that they can make part of their own life for the purposes of spiritual evolution and retaining balance in life. There is no cost to our meditation or the available instruction. Please join us at our meet up. Regards,
Sgt.Null

All the posters that used to enjoy posting to Mallory's have gotten jobs with more responsibility making it much more difficult to while away the workday hours contributing to word games...which sucks.

Destry is a 1954 western starring Mari Blanchard, Audie Murphy, and Thomas Mitchell. The third film version of Max Brand's Destry Rides Again, this 1954 version is closer to the 1939 Marlene Dietrich and James Stewart film version than it is to the Brand original. Indeed, Halliwell's Film Guide calls it an "almost scene-for-scene remake." George Marshall directed both versions.

Each time I used to post to Mallorys back in the day it died a little more until now its a hollow shell of the greatness it once was. The fact that I've dug up this crappy discussion thread 5 pages down from the top says it all.

Finding a crappy discussion thread five pages back indicates maybe that things have gotten better in Mallory's since then. But probably not.

Given that The Last Chronicles of Thomas Covenant has been completed and other forms of social media has taken over the planet it seems logical that The Watch and Mallorys would suffer a drop off in participation.

If you remember, the first known
printed reference
to the rutabaga comes from the
Swiss botanist
Gaspard Bauhin in 1620, where
he notes that it
was growing wild in Sweden. It
is often considered
to have originated in Scandinavia,
Finland or Russia.
According to the
Natural Resources Institute of Finland
(Luke), rutabaga or lanttu
was most likely bred on more
than one occasion in
North Europe, around the 16th century.
Studies by former MTT (now Luke),
has shown lanttu
was developed independently in
Both Finland and Sweden,
from turnip and cabbage in
connection with seed cultivation.
There are contradictory accounts
Of how rutabaga arrived
In Merry Old England. Some
sources say it arrived in Merry Old
England by way of Germany, while
other accounts support
It having sinister Swedish origins.
According to John Sinclair
the root vegetable arrived in
England from Germany around
1750. Rutabaga arrived in Scotland
by way of Sweden around 1781.
