However! (OK, someone has to do this, so I may as well get it over with...) I'd like it to get a job where I try to help women gain self-confidence by talking them out of such procedures. The poor, self-doubting women could come to me. We'd examine their vaginas closely, so I could point out all of their points of interest, and natural beauty. I don't really want to be a therapist, but what can I do? How can I refuse to help those in need?!? No, I'm not so cruel as to turn them away.
this is THE resume I would love to read. And don't forget the personal references.
There is a monologue in "The Vagina Monologues" spoken by a woman whose boyfriend helps her love herself by describing to her how fabulous her vagina is. 8)

I saw a girl at the pool last weekend with the word "FUCK" tattooed on her neck in large letters. She wasn't exactly the kind of girl you'd like to associate with the idea of intercourse. I don't understand why she would want to draw attention to this discrepancy by permanently placing this word for copulation next to her face. I couldn't help staring. And judging. I wanted to walk up to her and say, "No thanks."

I think she'd be more likely to have a bright future if she tattoed, "Don't hire me, you asshole" on her forehead.

I don't care how young you are--or how old I am--that's just not cool. I have no problem whatsoever judging people who make such poor judgments. It's fucking stupid.

Some tattoos are interesting. Some are beautiful. And some just reveal how entirely vapid a person is. You couldn't come up with anything more interesting than the word, "FUCK?" Really? There are literally an infinite amount of images you could have chosen, and you sat in a chair while a guy stuck a needle in your neck in order to permanently put *that* under your face?

I hope she was drunk. I hope she has a dumb excuse. Otherwise, I'm never going to be able to reconcile this with my faith in humanity.

fair or not - if i have to hire a lawyer - i do not one that is tatted up or has acial piercings.

people associate such things with young people with poor impulse control/

and i want a serious, mature lawyer. one who will not be judged by the judge and jury before he even presents my case.

what?????

There's a new movement going on in the body modification business where women are getting their vaginas "sculpted" to be more "beautiful" for men.

It's disgusting.
It's also impossible.
No it's not. Some plastic surgeons can turn a penis into a vagina and vice versa. They take out your corporsa cavernosa, drill a hole, and push your penis inside out to make a vagina on a man. They take labia majora and fashion into a penis of sorts for women. Trimming a little excess off the old roast beef curtains for a woman who is self conscious about it is no problem for them.

Most women who get vaginal modification get vaginal rejuvenation. Women who get "designer vaginas" are simply getting their labia reshaped, added to, or removed from. You can actually view before and after pics of this procedure online. Why is it any different than a nose job?

Actually, it's not. The new term "labiaplasty" has erupted in the medical community. Cosmetic surgeons frequently remove the labia minora, or trim it down; and still others fix the labia majora, if the woman feels she's too "big". Some women opt to have female circumcisions for better gratification.

I'm really not kidding about this. I've read multiple articles on this subject. There are also many labiaplasty conventions where many cosmetic surgeons and OB/Gyn's attend.

Better gratification? I didn't realize that removing the clitoris led to any gratification. [Don't get me started on this issue ... ]

There are obvious exceptions to every rule.

Here's my brush with tattoo criticism:

I was at a playground with my 3 year old son. It was last summer and I was pushing him on the swing. Now, I have one tattoo. One. It's on the inside of my ankle. It's a red Japanese chrysanthemum and it has my son's name and birth date under it.

After a while, a lady approached me from nowhere and immediately started heckling me about my tattoo. My first thought was, "Why the fuck were you staring at my legs?" (because seriously? it's on my ankle). My next thought was I wanted to punch her in the face.

I heard everything from "You're such a terrible mother" to "You'll never amount to anything with that on your body". Obviously. Because I was not a human being before I got my tattoo, and am a terrible mother, and a terrible human being, and I will never land any job ever in the forever of ever because I have. ONE. TATTOO.

So it's that kind of shit that gets to me. Some people are stupid. Some people aren't. I obviously knew I would be judged when I got the tattoo.

I'd just rather not be judged.

Jaz, I don't judge people with tattoos. I judge people with the word "FUCK" on their neck. :) I think some decisions can be judged as wise or not.

In your case, your tattoo sounds tasteful and cool (which is technically a judgment--sorry about that :) ).

Have you seen Manson's tattoo? I think in some cases (like when people have swastikas on their forehead), some judgment is reasonable. These are images people *choose* to represent themselves. If the symbols aren't meant to convey any information about you, then why do it? Tattoos are in some sense a statement. If statements can be judged, then so can tattoos.

However, I would have been offended by the incident you describe, too.

haha Well, they remove the skin around the hood of the clitoris, so it's constantly exposed.

Infer from that what you will. ;)

Jaz, I was just making fun of my own zeal in this issue, as has been demonstrated in the Tank. I didn't realize that the term has another meaning. Thanks for the info.

Absolutely, I agree. I don't think every tattoo out there is beautiful or even downright tasteful. And usually you can tell what kind of person they are by body language, how they talk, etc.

I just hate the stigma that a tattoo or piercing(s) is immediately bad. I've met some wonderful people who have multiple tattoos and piercings. And I've met some very distasteful people with tats and piercings.

It's funny, I was actually watching a video the other day of those guys in prison who got their eyeballs tattooed. *shudder*

The response to that bitch is to remove yourself and son and tell her you don't want your son to be influenced by someone as intolerant and closed minded as her and you hope that her kids don't turn out like her because she is obviously very unhappy on the inside.

hmmm...I'm not sure that will work long-term. Male circumcision removes the cover, too...and absolutely decreases sensation. Of course, for men that means it's being stimulated 24/7 except when standing around naked, hence the desensitization. Other structural differences might make that less of a problem for women? I don't know.

But, more on the issue: these things obviously make a statement of some kind [even if it's just "I think this is cool"]. It's dangerous to make a judgement of a whole person from adornment, OTOH, if you have "FUCK" tattooed in an always visible location, you are beyond question making a statement that demands judgement, so it's silly to quibble when you get that judgement.

Crazy people! :LOLS: I didn't mean you can't "sculpt" a vagina. I meant you can't make them more "beautiful" for men. It's like infinity + 1. It's meaningless. You can't get more beautiful than a vagina. "Mine's so horrible! I want a beautiful one!" is maybe the definition of insanity. "Beautiful vagina" is redundant. "More beautiful vagina" is impossible.

Oh, man..that was a great laugh. Very nice.

Then I wondered: when you wake up in the morning and your beer-goggles long gone, should it matter who's there with you?

Harbinger's rule # 7 states:

Between the legs of every human female (and sheep) there is a pussy. It will feel good upon insertion. However, it's what the pussy is attached to that makes it desirable.

That's one of what my friends call *Harbinger*isms. I think I was 17 when I came up with that one.
