What the heck are "bubonicon guys?"

Bubonicon is New Mexico's annual Sci-Fi/Fantasy convention. It was started by SRD's good friend and noted Sci-Fi author Robert Vardeman (and a good friend of the Watch too) but the guys running it now are RPG geek-head bozos.

All I know about New Mexico is there's a superb Martial Arts school in Alb.
