the one forest and the one tree...
so following this line of thought, if there was a one rock, then there must also be a one boulder? mountain?

If there was a one mountain, it might be Melenkurrien Skyweir...

dAN - that was actually going to be my guess. It's in the gizzard of the Worm of the Worlds end. Over time it gathers size as other rock formations crystalize on it. These crystals break off, are ... ahem ... passed, and somehow make it to the surface (volcanic activity? no metaphor intended).

I could be seriously mistaken, but I thought Trell gave a piece of orcrest to Atiaran as a wedding present, and he spent days and days looking for it in the hills and valleys around Mithil Stonedown?

If so, then orcrest is like hurtloam, and I assume also like lomillialor, very rare but still located within the boundaries of The Land, to be found by anyone with enough time, talent, and SRD ex machina.

I guess the wayward descendants of the One Rock must have fallen pretty far from the mystical gravel heap.

Yes, Trell did do that. And in a ceremony he broke the orcrest, which ended a drought they were having.

I want to know how lomilliolor is related to the One Tree. The only branch that was ever removed became the first SoL, so how are they related. Did Berek not use the whole branch and plant the rest like a cutting? Or did he take a whole lot of seeds and plant them. It isn't mentioned whether or not lomillilor comes from a particular tree or if it is normal wood that is treated in some way.

I remember specifically that it is said to be descended from the One Tree; but now I'm curious as well.

Well, Baradakas says
"It is an offspring of the One Tree, from which the Staff of Law itself was made."
otoh, we have this:
Lomillialor. Troy had heard of it. It was the lillianrill parallel to orcrest - a potent white wood descnded from the One Tree...
Offspring would, in my mind, mean that it grew from seeds that fell off of the One Tree. Which would pretty much have to have been brought back by Berek. (Wow! Excellent alliteration!) Descended could mean any number of generations removed. IIRC, Gilden trees are descendents of the One Tree, but we're never told that lomillialor comes from them.

Seeds from the One Tree? How is the One Tree connected to the Wyrm? By One Tree seeds are you talking about handling Wyrm poo? :|
