Yea..Back east, the " connected" were referred to as greaseballs,spaghetti bender.. definitely a racist or maybe xenophobic usage..Out here in Az..they are referred to as..Mayor..or..State Senator..or City Council Member..or...Sheriff..Senator...Governor..etc.

The ex worked had a superior officer in the Navy whose last name was Bobinski. The guy told everybody that his nickname at his previous command was "Bobo" and as he liked it okay, people could call him that. When the ex told me about it, I nearly died -- and then explained to him that "bobo" in Spanish means "fool".
