you are all just spouting rhetoric and sophistry, creating artificial distinctions, it is demonstrable that x and y are not opposites, but closely related and co-dependent concepts.

Just one simple, yet irrefutable example:

If you release a film that explicitly shows dining at the y, you most certainly will receive an x rating.

That's right...that's right.
I'm a communist.

I'd like to see where you get that claim from?

Is is because I'm Canadian? Our flag is mostly red, and red is the colour of communism?

Is it because I word in a unionized environment?

Is it because I believe in workers control of the factories?

Is it because of my story published in Kevin's Watch Anthology 2006 1/2 is basically about how the world would have been a better place if communist Russia had been the discoverers of North America, and founded it in the name of Communism, and I paid Joy Callderwood nearly ten thousand dollars to make sure it was the first story in the book??

Those arguments are pretty weak...come back when you have something substantial.

Let's call a pot a kettle, shall we, Sarge? Have you looked at your Avatar lately? If that's not an advertisement for an Axis of Evil I don't know what is.

Drew this is the second time you've typed 'D' instead of something you meant to type:
Is it because I word in a unionized environment?
I'm starting to think you're more interested in self-promotion than making an actual case for 'X'...or 'K'...or whatever letter of the day you're supporting this time around.

Talk about not being able to make up your mind.

Your point MAY be valid.

But Rob, if you are going to insult my typing skilz, I didn't want to bring this up, but if your picture had a birthmark on your forehead, you would look exactly like Gorbachev.

If you've truly descended to this, we both know I've won :)

And only a communist looks for Gorbachev amongst the Patrick Stewarts of the world.

Random interjection - trying to instill some humour into a serious and personal debate. Duly ignored - everyone keep arguing...

(PS. This is the best thread I've EVER seen in Mallory's  )

There's a similar thread here called 'Let's Pretend We're In The Close'...

The greatest similarity, of course, being Drew's inability to maintain a rational argument.

Rob, I assume you are trying to goad me or something, because I insulted Patrick Stewart, you must assume that I am a Shatner supporter.

Honestly, I can't believe you figured it out!!

Of COURSE this whole thread was dedicated to Shatner!

But referring to him as X, I was of course hoping to keep his identity a secret..

.....Of course I'm being sarcastic here.

There are plenty of other Canadian actors you can insult, and it won't bother me one little bit.
Go ahead...say something about Lorne Greene, or Michael J Fox, or Donald Sutherland, or Raymond Burr...really as long as you don't insult Alan Thicke, you're not going to hurt my feelings at all.

But this seems to be your way of clouding up the isssues here. THese personal attacks are nothing more than a smoke screen you are putting up because you don't want to talk about the real issues.

If you are so anti-X...why don't you talk about his stance on abortion, or legalizing marijuana, or same sex marriages, or foreign relations...?

You are loathe to do so, because you know that his stances on all of these topics are exactly the same as yours!!!

Your personal attack on x just proves that you are a racist.
