I think not...

That voice violated time and memory. It came from a different version of existence, a brief disruption enabled by the caesure. Lord Foul then had not known that Covenant’s spirit was watching now from its remembered place within the Arch of Time. The Despiser had believed himself triumphant.

Yes, in Covenant's mind while he was there in spirit form. Foul himself is in spirit form, although he is powerful enough to affect the material realm. Covenant's presence there, and with the forestals, altered the past.

lol All this time travel and paradoxing is giving me a headache. i just liked the warm glow of a graveling pot, the conviction of a council of lords to save the beauty of the world and some dried meat and cheese.. ok chuck in a couple of urviles and a grumbling, antagonistic anti hero.
It really has gone from a fantasy world with paradoxical undertones to paradoxes with fantasy undertones!!
emotional fantasy to scientific sci-fi? someone was talking quantam mechanics earlier!

Ceasures do strange things and can cause paradoxical events to occur. As noted, just by their very nature they would have eventually broken the Arch of Time but that might have taken decades to accomplish, less if something major got disrupted such as bringing Mhoram forward in time before he defeated Satansheart (or was it Soulcrusher?) or sending a Sandgorgon backwards in time and letting it ravage Revelwood.

Thats the problem with time travel, it just creates so many problems. i find the whole thing a bit bizarre especially as SRD talks about entropy being a fundamental part of whats happening to the land, time can only flow forwards or the rule of entropy dosent apply according to thermodynamics.
keep it fantasy or keep it sci-fi
