Sounds good! Hey, how did you get a publisher who has such reasonable prices?
Mine expects the public to shell out $23 for a book by an unknown author, which is why it probably sold only 20 copies since its publication in 2004.
I completed writing it in 1998, but a virus wiped out my hard drive and at one point only one printed copy existed-- with my Uncle in Huntsville prison in Texas.
He sent me the copy, I learned to use OCR software, and the rest is history.
I proofread and revised it several times before submitting it for publication, but if you ask me, the sequel, which I'm currently writing, is far better as a first draft!

LZ, Lord Foul is using a self-publishing company that I also use to publish his works. Total cost to you: nothing but your time. They just take publication costs of the finished product as on-demand purchases are made. Check out the link to my book below and then site it's published on.

I used POD too but they set the retail price too high.
I will either go through an agent or use what you and LF use!

Lulu is great. I just had to design the book, which is a biatch (more than you would expect). I've revised the interior of the book 47 separate times over the month, just to make it look more professional and readable.

My poetry book is the best-looking one, though: Collected Poems 2002-2010 (Honestly, not plugging :P Just showing how nice you can make them if you work).

I asked Joy if she'd publish Flat Earth (the same group who published Ali's stuff), and one of her editors said it was "very good but grim". I thought I'd have better chances, since Joy read almost half the book and liked it. Apparently I didn't fit the aesthetic, but hey; I'm not aware of a feel-good nuclear holocaust book.

Yes joy gave me "helpful advise," which, if she's read this thread, I'm sure she regrets. I really don't want to hurt her feelings, but it was condescending. I am a wordsmith. I know English. If I go to collage again, it's what I'll major in because as brilliant as I am at anthro, chemistry, physiology, psychology, or anything else I took, I absolutely took command and astonished everyone with my exemplary work in English.
It is regrettable when others do not recognize the great efforts I take to perfect my craft, but I do not regret this. Editors and writers of any caliber are bound to clash.
John Kennedy O'Toole had collected 40 or so rejections before "a confederacy of dunces" was published.
I remain confident in my writing skills-- I have made too many mistakes and learned too much from them to be otherwise.
In spite of my enormous reputation in music, I never pursued any technical proficiency at my instruments.
This has not been the case in my writing. I have absorbed myself into my craft with a passion, and have never been satisfied with anything less than perfection.

Please take this in the spirit it's intended, LZ, but I just had to call out the spelling error in terms of its irony... 8O

Yes well, posting on internet is rife with error, particularly while drunk... and undergoing life threatening Korsakoff syndrome!

You are spot on, sir! Ranyhyn Express, for sure!

I have no idea how they do it. Maybe you live down the street from their UK printing press....

Follow the link in aliantha's signature. It will take you right to the page where you will find the link to download.

Or here, I'll make it easy for you. You can actually choose between a pdf or an rtf file for US $3.00 for The Maiden's War.

You don't need an e-Reader to read the PDF you can read it right on your PC. Not quite as enjoyable, I grant you that, but it will save shipping costs...

Yeah, i was just thinking it'd be easier on my eyes reading it off her e-reader than my computer screen.
