erm, could we make it a bit, erm, more blueish? like a pine-tree, e.g.?

You do know that majority rule wins

So we'll have to see how the vote goes. I'll be toying around with some colours but I cannot go too dark on the background because it obscures the text in the admin side of things.

well, AFAIK this kind of board software (I mean phpBB) supports themes, so maybe you could install 2 or 3 of those and everybody in his/her Profile could choose one, just as we chose avatars?

Themes are supported but I have found them to be a bit underdeveloped as opposed to the ones used by VBulletin. They're getting better but I'm not too keen on adding them just at the moment.

Green is good, green is apt. It puts me in mind of Hurtloam, and Andelain and such.. pre-Sunbane feel, definately

Gee, it's been so long since I've been here (vacation, then catching up at work from vacation

) that apparently I completely missed the goose-sh*t color scheme -- too bad!
Anyhow, the green looks okay to me...

actually it's not the green of the background I dislike, that is quite okay, but the green of that crossbar at the top and/or bottom of the forum; could that be of the same hue as the background?

I have to say, I really hate that shade of green for the border. Can we find a different color?
