Well thank goodness those who survived did..be they Watchers or not. In all reality..every day, the inhabitants of Christchurch area should have given much thanks for being alive. The town is built on top of a huge sand pit. It don't take much to bring down what is built on sand. Hey, the folks living in central USA..St Louis and up and down the Mississippi from there..same deal there. A big sand trap with a lot of folks living on top of it. Everyday they wake up alive they should be giving thanks. Its only a matter of when,, things shake rattle and roll.

Hi all. I thought I'd drop by and thank you all for your thoughts and prayers and kind words.

I have no family in Christchurch, which is good, and all my friends are accounted for and well. My flat will likely get red stickered however, so we took everything of value out before we left. I'm now in Auckland, where I'll probably be living for at least two months so I can work out of our Auckland office.

The main thing though is all those I care about are ok. It's just so sad that not everyone can say the same.
