This is why religion shouldn't be allowed, it creates absolutely psychotic nutjobs

It doesn't create them, it just gives them an outlet.

Without religion we'd still have all the psychotic nutjobs, they would just be of the alt met / metaphysics variety (you know, like all those guys in the 90s writing books about how cold fusion is easy, or Unified Force theory & whatnot).

 Good point Rigel.

Anyway, I'm not too worried. It's unfortunately highly unlikely. And IIRC, the guy who started this already predicted it once in the past...

As usual, a lot of people will feel vaguely silly, and not much else.

Of course you can
Fusion
A light, fruity red wine. A great introduction to red wine enjoyment. Enjoy chilled or room temp.
just get some ice from room service.

Did anyone check on Lord Foul. I'm trying to find a clue in his post as to where it is coming from but I can't get a handle on it.

And Catfairy - that is one of the most ridiculous generalisations I have come across on the Watch or anywhere else. I refuse to believe that anyone with the good sense to be on this site could be simple enough in their thinking to believe such a statement to be true - therefor I can only conclude that you must be trolling!

I think he was just free associating his death on or before doomsday.

I really didn't take it to that extent. A lot of people have anger at religion that gets expressed with huge vehemence. I was angry like that as a teen until I developed some depth and understanding about religion and peoples relationship to it. It's just young stuff. I'm sure he/she meant no harm or disrespect.

In a self-published book, "The Doomsday Code," Fitzpatrick says the Bible offers "proof that cannot be dismissed."
I am kinda sad about the Bible verses that this guy apparently didn't read- like the numerous ones which are specifically about making EOW predictions!

Well, for me, this thread is a bit of a silver lining to this latest of human predictions. Y'all pretty much crack me up! (And I appreciate ppls' defense of "really, we can't blame all people's messed-up idiosyncrasies on religion.")

So you're saying there maybe can be a place for all-out zeal? =)

Ah, this just sucks. IRS Hounded me for a supposed $2000+ mistake on my 2008 Fed Tax Return, even cleaned $1100.00 out of my Checking account, rather than arranging payments for me. After they cleaned out my checking account, I was finally able to work out payments.

$200 a month (They take about $50 interest every month and $100 non-payment fee [isn't that what interest is for?], so little goes to the principal). Well, I just sent in my last payment, and now Judgement Day has to come along before I can even enjoy getting that $200 a month back in my pocket? This is so NOT RIGHT :-x

I hope so Lorin - it was quite weird and not a little unsettling to a sensitive soul like me (hem hem :D ), but then I suppose being Lord Foul it would be!

And Catfairy - yes, Lorin is quite right. We all have a right to our views without a dork like me railing us out for having them. Please accept my humble appologies.
