Yul Brynner (as I just found out it's actually spelled) was a Russian-born American actor who died in 1985 after being in tons of movies, including a bunch of big epics like "The 10 Commandments" in the 50s and the Western "The Magnificent Seven" ("Seven" as in "Samurai) in the 60s. I don't think I've seen any of his movies, I dug this off the Internet Movie Database, as well as this picture:
