The fable is coming along nicely.
I had to laugh the other day. My dad gave me a birthday card with Indiana Jones on the front and when it was opened played his theme tune.

I am vastly impressed by your ambition, Sarge, especially since you said you don't do much fiction. You have set the bar high for yourself and so far (I only had time for about 1/3 of what you posted for right now) are carrying it off splendidly.
I want to challenge you to be sure you tie up all the loose ends-- otherwise it won't be palindromish.
I also felt the Pp about the "cloak of regrets" was amazing. I loved the steampunk intricacy of what she carries and was immediately intrigued as well. Carry on....

there is an ending in mind. and i know how the world ended up the way it did. i will resolve those plots that need resolving.
