YESSSS! Thank you; I was thinking about this myself.

Other. Easiest description is Panentheist with Buddhist and Taoist leanings.

I have previously identified with two other categories: atheism and agnosticism.

I'm a Satan worshipper, so as Satan is part of the Christian religion, put me down for Christian. I'm just on the other side of the coin.

*nodding*

I still think of myself as Jewish, and when I worship, I attend ultra-Orthodox services. So I selected that on the poll.

But my personal beliefs are also along the lines of Penentheism, although I do not know if the Belief-O-Matic offers that as an option. Here is what is came up with for me.
1. Unitarian Universalism (100%)
2. Neo-Pagan (99%)
3. New Age (98%)
It strikes me that like many others, they are confusing Panentheism with Pantheism...

Now that would describe you. ;)

What would pantheonism imply?

by Fist and Faith
It would imply that the Bhakti family is the true path to all that is good.

Wouldn't have known they existed if you hadn't pointed it out. I agree with all of their prefunctionary prattle, but $50 for membership? They can bite my knot! (tree humor) besides I have the bloodlines and my middle name means High Priest of the Ashen Grove, so there! :|

I clicked Pagan, just because I love you.

Awww, I love you too!

I signed up for ADF once, just to get their journal. It wasn't $50, tho -- more like $20. (Inflation? 8O ) They're a little too "let's form a Pagan church!" for my taste. But I did read several of the books they recommended, and I like the idea of a hearth pantheon (altho mine is kind of eclectic, given that I'm Heinz 57 like most Americans).

OBOD is in the UK; ADF is in the US. There's another American Druid group, too, but I can never remember what they're called.

The one I found is AODA The Ancient Order of Druids in America...FWIW

Just in case you didn't get the reference, Cambo, think of it as Pantheon-ism... ;)

Well; belief and lifestyle are often inextricably bound. Just ask the Middle-East! Or the Middle Ages. :P. Only recently has culture and religion divided into separate cells. Which is good. Or we'd be doing Crusade #133. :P

Still; in ways we often don't see, our beliefs reflect how we want to live.

Here...you can absorb my atheist experience points since I don't need them. :P

Wiccan/Pagan/Animist/Etc.
Can I claim 'et cetera'?

Beliefnet said
1. Mahayana Buddhism (100%)
2. Theravada Buddhism (97%)
3. Neo-Pagan (83%)
I don't know what any of those mean - I foresee a night on Wiki coming up!

I ticked Other but I didn't realise just how Other I really was. Me, Tom Cruise and John Travolta are goin' to get on just fine. (I don't even like science :P )

I thought the Belief-o-matic test was good but left out the importance of the body which has big implications for what I believe.
